NH First Applauds President Trump’s Bold Call to End Federal Subsidies for Non-Citizens: A National Blueprint for New Hampshire’s Mission

Concord, NH – November 28, 2025 – NH First, the leading New Hampshire organization dedicated to ensuring that every dollar of state resources is invested exclusively in Granite Staters, today issues a resounding statement of support for President Donald J. Trump’s announcement outlining sweeping reforms to U.S. immigration policy. In a powerful message delivered today via X, President Trump declared his intent to “end all Federal benefits and subsidies to noncitizens of our Country,” a directive that echoes NH First’s core mission: to ensure New Hampshire expends any resource exclusively on our citizens.

“President Trump’s vision is a call for America First principles that resonate deeply with our work here in the Granite State,” said Patrick Binder, Director of NH First. “For too long, hardworking New Hampshire families have watched as funds are stretched thin by policies that favor foreigners over New Hampshire citizens. Trump’s commitment to eliminating federal subsidies for non-citizens isn’t just federal policy; it’s a blueprint for state-level action. At NH First, we’re fighting to redirect those resources back to the citizens who built and sustain our communities. This announcement validates our mission and strengthens our resolve to add focus to a system that hasn’t enough of it.”

In his announcement, President Trump highlighted the unsustainable burden of the nation’s 53 million foreign population—many reliant on welfare and benefits funded by American taxpayers—contributing to social challenges like failing schools, rising crime, urban decay, and housing shortages. He pledged to pause migration from Third World countries, terminate millions of improper admissions, deport public charges and security risks, and enforce strict measures to protect domestic tranquility. These steps, Trump emphasized, will foster “reverse migration” to restore balance and prioritize citizens.

NH First champions similar reforms at the state level, advocating against the diversion of taxpayer dollars to foreigners, with our first legislative push, which has support from Republican house leadership, being to support Hon. Travis Corcoran’s (R-Weare) upcoming bill that ends the Office of Refugee Resettlement program here in New Hampshire. “America First leadership like this empowers states like ours to follow suit, to be New Hampshire First in our thinking,” added Mr. Binder. “We call on Governor Kelly Ayotte and the New Hampshire Legislature to align with President Trump’s agenda by making Corcoran’s bill into law, and to work to eliminate all state subsidies for non-citizens—putting our citizens first, just as our mission demands.”
